Prince's-pine, Chimaphila umbellata
Prince's Pine, or Pipsissewa as it's sometimes called, is a small perennial member of the Heath Family. It has shiny long and narrow toothed evergreen leaves and small pinkish or rose coloured flowers which grow in clusters of 3-15. In favourable conditions, which includes dry coniferous forests, Prince's-pine will grow up to 35 cm/ 14 in tall.
