Candystripe Spider, Enoplognatha ovata
The Candystripe Spider was introduced to North America from Europe. It is relatively small, has translucent legs and an abdomen which varies somewhat in colour, but is generally white with red strips - hence its common name. It is a predator which will prey on insects much larger that its size.
