Every year October 4 is World Animal Day - a day for everyone to celebrate all forms of animal life.

October 4 was selected way back in 1931 in Italy as that's the feast day of Saint Francis, the patron saint of animals and the environment. Nowadays, World Animal Day is observed by people of all beliefs and backgrounds who love and appreciate animals.

This a special day for us to pause and reflect on the way our lives are enriched by animals.
