The Wild Turkey is a very distinctive and easily recognizable bird of the forest and open fields where it forages, usually in flocks. It is a large bird with males being 46 in/1.2 m long with a wingspan of 64 in/1.6 m. Despite its size, it has a rather small, naked head.
