The Monkeypod Round-headed Beetle is a member of the family of Long-horned Woodborers, which is a huge family of over 20,000 species. They are characterized by their extremely long antennae. This specimen was photographed in Hawaii and was identified for us by Francis G. Howarth, Ph.D. Research Entomologist at the Bishop Museum on Oahu, in Honolulu.
