Bewick's Wren, Thryomanes bewickii
The Bewick's Wren is over 5 in/12 cm long, has bars on its tail, is grayish or reddish brown on the back and has white underparts. Other important characteristics include the white eye stripe and long bill which is slightly curved. This friendly bird is a resident of thickets and woodlands.

Its range covers much of the south western US and along the coast into Canada.
