|
| Larus heermanni |
| Correctly identifying seagulls can often be challenging, but the Herrmann’s Gull is an easy one to spot thanks to its gray body, blackish wings, black legs and red, black-tipped bill. |

| Herrmann's Gulls are found along the Pacific coast of North America, from Mexico to British Columbia. Interestingly, over 90% of the current population nest and breed on Isla Rasa, a protected reserve in the Gulf of California, Mexico. They then migrate morth in July and begin the return journey in December and arriving back in March. |
