With its characteristic orange-red breast and face, the European Robin is a delightful, easily recognized bird of the Old World. Its range extends across Europe, into Northern Africa and into western Asia. It is a generally shy bird, feeding on insects, seeds, grubs and spiders.
It is not related to the much larger American Robin.
