Northern Mockingbird, Mimus polyglottos
The Northern Mockingbird is a resident of the southern and eastern states as well as Mexico. It is generally light grey in colour with white under parts and parts of its wings and tail. Its scientific species name polyglottos means "many tongued" which is a reference to its ability to imitate the sounds of other birds and even humans.
