June 2009 - Royal Polemonium

Polemonium carneum

Royal Polemonium is a stunning native wildflower of the northwest coast of North America. Sometimes called Great Jacob's Ladder, it enjoys wetter areas such as stream banks and moist thickets.

The colours of the flowers can vary somewhat from light tan to yellow and even bluish white.
