The Yellow Mountain-avens is a low-growing member of the Rose Family of plants, Rosaceae. The small, nodding flowers are pale yellow. The plant grows in sandy soil or gravel in mountain areas of North America. As it grows, it spreads into a mat of glossy leaves.
