Dune Primrose
Oenothera deltoides
The beautiful Dune Primrose flowers from February to May in the deserts of the Southwest United States. It is characterized by its four large, white petals which form a sort of saucer shape. The flowers open early in the evening and close in mid-morning.
 
Dune Primrose
Dune Primroses are spreading bush-like plants which creep across sandy, gravely areas, sometimes spreading as much as a metre across. It has hairy, pale green leaves which are about 4 inches (10 cm) long.
