Monkey Flower
Mimulas guttatus
The Common Monkey Flower is found across western North America, preferring damp areas such as along the sides of streams, creeks and seeps.  In fact, it is sometimes called the Seep Monkey Flower. It has beautiful, small (1 inch or 2.5 cm across) yellow flowers with orange spots.
