It's free to use this website, although we would appreciate it if you would support the advertisers on the site, and spread the word about us along to your friends.
Can I use the images?
We realize that we can't stop people from using the images, but they are all protected by copyright and as such, normal citation protocol is expected for educational and non-commercial use. For professional use and in publications, some images are available at high resolution. Contact us with your inquiries.
Is there a real Dereila Nature Inn?
Sadly no! It's just this place in cyber-space although wouldn't it be nice if you really could find such an inn and spend the week?
Can I send in my images and ideas?
Yes! We welcome your submissions and ideas. We want this to be a community of nature-lovers and photographers. We can't pay you though, but welcome your comments and ideas. Send them along!

We did although you'll notice here and there that visitors have submitted some images. These are clearly labeled.

Do you manipulate the images?
No, we don't use Photo Shop or any other image-altering programs.
Which comes first, the photo or the article?
Some time we have an idea for an article and then find the images to go with it, such as the Flower or bird of the month. Other times we have favourite images and try to decide how to include them, perhaps as a jigsaw or part of a photo gallery.
How do you identify all of the different subjects?
This is often very challenging, but thanks to some great guide books, Internet sites and the help of experts in various areas we manage correct identification. You'll find some good on-line field guides in the Cyber Room.
Can you help me identify something?
Sure. We'll be happy to. We're even thinking of making a "What is this?" page.
Will you be adding new topics?
Definitely! This site will never be finished. In the coming weeks we hope to add sections on national, provincial and state parks.
Will you be creating a pet section?
No - this site is for nature and the natural world and so pets just don't fit here.
Can people submit small articles?
